CRC 2011 Fall Soccer Overview
CRC’s Fall Soccer program is geared for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Teams are divided based on registration count and split appropriate to each age group. Kindergarten teams will play on Saturday’s for 1 hour with 30 minutes of practice followed by a 30 minute scrimmage. All other age groups will have a minimum of 1 practice during the week with a Saturday game.
Dates and Locations:
Tentative dates for the season are; first game to start on September 24th, and run for an 8 week season. There will be up to 2 make-up games in case of rainouts for all ages EXCEPT Kindergarten.
All games will be played at the Calverton Galway Park (3039 Fairland Road Fairland, MD 20904). Games for grades 3 and up will have 1-2 referees. All other age groups will be refereed by the coaches.
Practice shcedules are only available once teams are complete and coaches
have their rosters. Our league has a strict policy that players who miss
practice are NOT penalized game time. This is to ensure that all
participants have a great experience and all players play a minimum of half
What we need from you:
Players should arrive to games on time and in uniform. (Socks/shorts/shirt will be provided) Players must provide their own shin guards and cleats. Players do not need to come to practices in uniform, but should bring a ball along with their cleats and shin guards.

We would like to remind everyone that this is a community league and as such every team needs parental involvement. Some of the positions are:
1.) Coach – Leads Drills, is responsible for team conduct, teaches kids the basics of the game (position, shooting, rules, etc.) **BONUS**- Selects the practice schedule
2.) Asst. Coach – Assists the Coach with all above duties and fills in if coach is unable to attend a game/practice.
3.) Snack Coordinator – Creates a snack list for games (and optionally practices)
4.) Equipment Coordinator – Assists coach with setting up cones/goals for games and practices. Ensures that all league equipment is taken care of and returned.
5.) Helper –Assists as needed
